Taxes

About Taxes on Nicokick

Nicokick is required by law to charge applicable tobacco/nicotine tax and sales tax for online orders. Where these taxes apply, the order total during your checkout will be updated and reflect/include taxes. Shipping charges are in general also subject to sales tax in most states.

How are the Taxes on Nicotine Products Calculated?

State Excise Tax (SET), also referred to as “tobacco/nicotine tax”, is applied in accordance with applicable state and local laws. For tobacco products, all states apply SET, however for Tobacco-Free products most states do not apply any SET.

The way SET is calculated depends on the product category (Tobacco or Tobacco-Free) and the state, and are calculated in one of the following ways:

  • based on a % of the wholesale price (cost) to Nicokick
  • based on Nicokick selling price to the customer
  • based on weight (per selling unit)

How is the Sales Tax on an Order Calculated?

Nicokick calculates the sales tax in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Current rates can be found here: State Sales Tax Rates - Sales Tax Institute

Example: A customer has placed an order in a state with SET and Sales tax:

  • SET rate in state = 56.93%
  • Sales tax rate in state = 7.25%
  • Wholesale Cost per can = $3.00
  • Selling price to customer = $3.99;
  • SET per can = $3.00 * 0.5693 = $1.71;
  • Sales tax per can = ($3.99 + $1.71) * 0.0725 = $0.41

    • Selling price to customer + SET + Sales Tax = Final price to Customer (per can): $3.99 + $1.71 + $0.41 = $6.11

    The best flavor from Juice Head pouches!!

    These are a great flavor and I just wanted to leave 5 stars to boost the rating a little bit cause I don't think the current average rating is quite fair. I know flavors are subjective and if you just don't like fruit flavors then yes, this won't be for you. However this is by far the best flavor from Juice Head. I've tried the variety pack with each flavor, wasn't a fan of all the others, Raspberry Lemonade Mint was okay, but this one is really good! The flavor last at least 30 minutes unlike Zyns which lose flavor really quickly. 5/5 forsure!

    Solid Pouch

    These are tied with the raspberry lemonade mint pouches from juice head for my second favorite of their offerings. They have a pretty good flavor and the flavor lasts quite a while. Everything I like about their watermelon strawberry I like about these except I don’t think the blueberry lemon and mint go together quite as well as the watermelon ones. I like these and I definitely would order them again though.

    Nice flavor option

    I have tried a few flavors across different brands and I like the subtle blueberry flavor. The flavor is smooth, slightly creamy and minty. I want to try more.
